Everyone can feel at home in Danish shoes
With LocalizePro, the company The Cozy Sheep has created a German webshop with a strong local touch, making it safe for German customers to slip their feet into Danish slippers.
German customers can now visit The Cozy Sheep’s German website and have a completely German experience.
As part of Valeur CS’ LocalizePro plan, the Danish success company doesn’t just speak school-level German but native German to its customers.
So now, German customers can feel just as at home in Danish “Hausschuhe” (home slippers) as if the slippers were sold from a physical store on Hamburg’s main street.
“You get a special feeling when you put your foot into a woolen slipper. We want to transfer that feeling of homeliness and security throughout the customer journey – even in Germany,” says Michael Jørgensen, CEO and partner at The Cozy Sheep, and continues:
“I think we’ve succeeded in doing that, in part because we got help from Valeur CS to make sure we did it right and sounded just right.”
LINGUISTIC NUANCES
At Valeur CS, we took our LocalizePro checklist and went through it point by point with Michael Jørgensen.
It turned out that The Cozy Sheep had done, or was in the process of doing, many things right when it came to user-friendliness and logistics.
However, in one aspect, Valeur’s German consultants could make a significant difference – language.
“I believe The Cozy Sheep deserves great recognition for their German website. As a German speaker, I feel very welcomed on the webshop,” says Mercia Samuel, E-commerce Manager at Valeur CS.

Today, customers on the German website will experience it as if they are shopping from a completely local company with a German web address, German contact information, familiar shipping and payment solutions, and, most importantly, flawless and modern German.
